Blizzard be stoled my heart.
Some people are just plain stupid. You look at what they do and you go, "You stupid mother****!" Others are full of bull****. They say stuff to you and you think, "They're fairly intelligent... AH! they're full of ****!" The rest are just plain nucking futs! Blizzard's all three of them! They expect their one hundred ringgit paying suckers in Malaysia with a five hundred and twelve kay bee pee ass connection to download 800+ megabytes to run the rest of the game next week. That would take ages. Fortunately I did it. During that period I took a sharp fork and shoved it up my ***. Because if I'm gonna hurt that much, I'm gonna do it to myself.

Singapore Crowbar Awards Silver
Archival purposes only. Please ignore.
I'm drunk now so here I go: Wahoo for second place at the Singapore Crowbar Awards 2008! It's been an honor and a privilege and would like to thank SuWeii, Kenny Kok, Chong May Yin, MM071-1 and MM075-1 for their inspiring critique, wisdom, support and company. I love you buggers. I would also like to insert a personal thought.

Transition to my roots.
Update:
Kek. I changed my mind.
Blog changes:
In an effort to distill information I have moved my WoW signatures to the bottom of the blog. Last class. No class. Wuss. Pathetic. Worthless passenger. Maybe if they worked a little harder, I would not have to do this ranking. But I'm keeping it because I am a fan. *Smug*
What a waste, it is hard to find a group for RFK, my hopes skyrocketed when a level 40 druid offered us a run but instead he slowed things down. I waited too long and just gave up. Literally there's no point but to just continue the grind.
With the absence of my RL friend no longer playing I've officially mark that day with my intention to finally switch factions. I've always wanted to be the opposing side, a community that is equal to the childish immature behavior of the Alliance community, only that they're nothing but a bunch of elitist jerks and snobs. But I do consider myself both. Yes I am fudging nuts. As first directive of this phase shift activity I am re-specing 100% shadow. Just got so sick of wanding and I was beginning to miss mind flay anway. That does not mean I'm deleteing Klonoa. I might play a tank again but at this time tanking's too hardcore for my tastes.

My slumber has been a rather lengthy one.. Time to terrorize the noobs. I shall be making a snake spiral announcement regarding the factions. But for now I think it's kind of nice to be back in the peninsula of hell.

Creative Brief <1.0c>
Pujangga Homestay Web Site Redesign
Current website address and design:
http://www.pujangga-homestay.com/
Executive Summary:
Pujangga Homestay caters to the low-cost oriented tourism market while at the same time providing a reasonable temporary residence for duration of their stay in Kuala Lumpur. In a sense a no-frills package intended to keep things at minimum while at the same time granting them with a hospitable experience reflecting the generosity and integrity of Malaysian culture. Their hostel services have a flexible rate for as low as rm25 upgradeable to a single suite system for more privacy if desired.
• USP – Garden balcony
• Almost kampong style atmosphere in the city
Client wishes to revise the current view of the situation, give the users a memorable experience of the hostel, Kuala Lumpur while being directly functional
Propose simple logo for website
Client Website Analysis
• Front page is unnecessary, only contains the address
• Home – Heavily informative but not a visceral experience
• Rooms & Rates – inconsistent photo sizes redundant layout and text
• Facilities –possible regrouping to about or rooms
• Location and map – Too long winded, map small
• Contact is – Why have this? Addresses everywhere
• Online booking – same information with rooms and rates
• Misc sections – need simplification
• Links – can be vastly improved
• Places of Interest – Feels too chaotic
• Visitor guide, entering, local can be combined.
The Requirement
• Reconstruct the website to improve its overall appeal to its target audience.
• Make the site prompt, easily accessible simple friendly user experience
• Infuse a bit of a KL, Malaysian theme so it won’t look like any other ordinary budget site
Target Audience:
• Backpackers
• Hitchhikers
• Young adults who love to travel, Interested in experiencing the spirit and flow of their travel destination rather than the usual comforts of a five star hotel.
• Internet savvy uses other online booking services related to traveling such as Low cost air services such as Air Asia.
• Budget constrained individuals, thrifty on bare necessities.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
1. Simple and straightforward
2. No fancy tacky décor
3. Infuse a bit of malay culture(?)
4. Memorable concept that is easy and visceral simultaneously
Communication Strategy:
The web site redesign will provide direct communication methods including hostel details such as types of rooms and online booking. In the first phase of development, the site will be mostly a brochure-type site with limited interactivity and database origination. In the next phase of development, will consist of an elaborated online booking system plus optional destinations, sights and sounds.
Competitive Positioning:
Friendly quality serene hostel hospitality at an affordable price for any type of the target audience
Single-Minded Message:
Affordable Malaysian hospitality
Objective:
Website redesign will convince {target audience} that Pujangga Homestay is an affordable and friendly place during their stay while experiencing the best of Kuala Lumpur without burning a huge hole in their pockets. Theme shall be direct, clean with a slight Malaysian flavor.

Alterations to the imaginative means
Based on my student evaluation last semester, I’ve decided to re-instigate a very dangerous pastime. Thinking. The course of action eventually leading to this was more or less of an eye-opener. I was told that whenever a problem needs to be solved, I’d whip out a signature approach. However this time, it has been suggested that another part of me unwraps; a new me. Thinking about how to make things happen in that manner isn’t very healthy because it consumes you. I don’t have a lot of friends so not sharing this ordeal and keeping it close to my mind takes a toll on my outward appearance if you know what I mean. When I was in the advertising major I had an insatiable appetite for thematically “charming” flamboyances. You may ask my senior colleagues. Bright hues eluded me. So for this major I thought that the Hello Kitty allure is finally over; I adopt the Universal Studios persona and make any of my 'carrying outs' kick you in the ass. Unfortunately that did not happen. At times I’d go a bit back and it shows. So now I want to change all that. I genuinely feel that we’re saturated by an endless onslaught of cuteness. And yes a world without it is chaos. But I just feel that we’re not kids anymore. Perhaps that’s why I didn’t enjoy the Clone Wars but that’s another story. While I can’t build you the roads to Rome in a day I promise the gradual transition to another spectrum. And that’s what needs to be accomplished for the last depths of breath within myself.
In the interest of all that mess, I have decided to announce a new label project, code named, “Book Reviews”. I will be giving out my feelings on some of the pages that I’ve wormed through in an effort to share my passion for knowledge. So stay tuned.

Digital Video: Klang or bust.
Today has been rather exciting, our group has finally confirmed the destination for our documentary field trip expedition. Poh Leong, Haikal, Yee Lean, Tze Een and I are going to a fishing village in Klang, where we're going to do something related to "fishing taboos" and wonder if it might become some sort of a funny experience. As a Filipino, it has been nearly two decades since I visited Klang so this will probably be a fresh slate of adventure inscription. This is another opportunity to learn more about this beautiful country and I'm looking forward to it. This Tuesday, our team's going to scout the area but unfortunately for me, I have to go for another dental surgery session. In return I will do the paper work research while they're away having fun exploring.
The second choice was actually to go to Haikal's state, Johor where there's a famous fish paste food called "Otak Otak". My group members told me it's a spineless fish delicacy that appears to be wrapped in some sort of banana leaf and somtimes served with rice or sauce, looking rather appetizing.
In the end, either projects were fine with me and ultimately all of us decided that Poh Leong's home town is what we're going to focus on. I hope to recover fully by then. I'll probably be helping out with the production and direction perhaps.

A quick reminder
I've manually re-added my links list due to my accidental deletion of my template some time ago. Please let me know if I forgot your blog. I miss you. I love you.
Stage 2.. complete
I can't speak, open my mouth or chew my food. I am in total excruciating pain. I feel like the rear tooth is splitting apart, almost like it's gonna super nova. It pain connects to my eyes and if I accidentally bite too hard I will tear jerk in agony. The process was explained greater detail after the operation; a long pole was shoved into the middle of the molar where the nerve connecting the gum used to be. My tooth is officially dead. My mouth is numb right now. This pain is unbearable. I want to.. rest. I've undergone an alarming amount of operations in my years of living so far. I am beginning to question my practices. Maybe there is something I am doing very wrong with myself forcing me to go through all of this.
Oh I'm not Chinese but I watched "Money not Enough II" yesterday. It was a mediocre experience at best, I saw a lot of girls crying. YOU SISSIES.
in other news:
This WoW Post is making me laugh (in my heart) and cry a little.
Here's the OP:
I am starting to feel, well, "left behind" in my World Of Warcraft experience because I have not yet taken up multi-boxing. Since multi-boxing is a requirement for an equal gameplay experience, I would very much like to take it up - but paying $75/month for an MMO seems a little extreme when it is just one person controlling all five characters.
So with multi-boxing being the norm for a fulfilling World Of Warcraft playing experience, a 5 player multi-box "premium account" should be made available for around $29.99/month, or at least a big reduction since a multibox player is contributing more to Blizzard. $75/m is just too outlandish.
Maybe we're playing too much...

Come and see the violence inherent in the system. Help! Help! I'm being repressed!
With the Wrath of the Lich King looming over the horizon, It would only be appropriate to freeze Hell over. It is my firm belief that all of us as a community has a public responsibility to keep up with the times. And all of us men should also have a ritual. So I'm trying. Rawr.
I have a confession to make, I spent nearly three months trying to figure out why the f**ck the favicon did not work in Internet Explorer 7 and only in Firefox 3. And today at around 11:00am, I finally cracked the code. The secret is: Be careful.
I miss my MacBook Pro.
If you know anyone wanting a Mac, show them this link.

iTunes 8 test run
As a current foobar convert, my curiosity to download iTunes 8 eventually conquered me. So far the only thing I like about it is probably the visualizer. It sort of reminds me of the life stream or the sending in Final Fantasy. Other than that I have no idea how this Genius Search thing works...

Nerd Pickup Lines
Scott Adams' post is pretty good but I feel that he's leaving out the girls, so I got a few for the ladies to try on the geeks:
- Wanna come home and see my software?
- What's a Joystick?
- I love computers but I'm really interested in the basic language.
How much of an ASS can you be?
The secret ingredient.. You're in the land of broken dreams and shattered hopes. And you're next on line for the human sacrifice.

The 'Waaa I can't WoW' post I
Today I got sorted into group four. It is an awesome number. There is a replacement class on the fifteenth. It ruined my four day holiday streak. There is a six-forty-five evening interview atonement for international students on the twelve. There goes my relaxing Friday. With time schedules all in the morning there's bound to be further abuse. Expect the unexpected. There's hope for a cure in cancer, so choose money over love. Still lost?

A disturbing contingency
Wonderful, our class blog has a new look. Can you see me?
My mouth is dry. I've just realized that I ran out of things to say. I have to go to the doctor for a routine check up tomorrow. Good thing there's no class * Taunt * How would you deal with an e-mail attachment that weighs twelve megabytes, but consisted of only two JPEGs? The first one is a confirmation employment letter with a resolution of four thousand, eight hundred and seventy one pixels by seven thousand four hundred and twenty six pixels. The document is upside down. The second image is a Filipino passport with a seven hundred DPI scan in full technicolor. Imagine a layman trying to conjure the CoA. Now you got a good soap opera in the making my friend. I photoshoped that sonofagun and whisked the little buggers off to me.com like a parrot in a birdcage with all its feathers plucked off meticulously by a toddler who does not give a damn about the environment and had to purchase a mink coat from a dead tiger who lost its skin to a dwarven blunderbuss. I'm just so cracked at this. Nope I guess not. Not anymore. Things to do with Google Desktop:I just realized something awesome, you know those little girls in their navy blue gym shorts and swimsuits that you downloaded from Sankaku Complex? Well if you create a folder in the images document, you can assign a gadget to periodically display each chick five seconds at a time. It's pretty exciting to see one fade after another as the algorithm has a math.random of the Bermuda Triangle in a jelly mixer reved up to full steam on toad oil. It is seriously far more entertaining verses watching flies go at it. Today was wonderful. Thank you.
Quote of the day:
"Religion convinced the world that there's an invisible man in the sky who watches everything you do. And there's 10 things he doesn't want you to do or else you'll go to a burning place with a lake of fire until the end of eternity. But he loves you! ...And he needs money! He's all powerful, but he can't handle money!"

A beautiful month of paradigms shifting without a clutch
Update - 8.9.2008:
I came early for class but after settling some disputes with the SRA department, I just wanted to say that for this year alone..
THIS IS THE BEST TIMETABLE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED.
Russia and Georgia continue to sort their disputes. We watch and pray for those struggling in the Middle East. New Orleans is spared from another tidal storm but approaches the Caribbean islands. Two Senators duke it out for supremacy as the leader of the free world. The second and third semester has initialized. It's time to put on our uniforms and head back to work. How much love do you have today?

For those who like pre-fractinal distillation
I finally coded the seperate modules enabling it viewable online. Would you like to test it? I must caution you, you need a faster connection than Shitmyx to run it.
SilentWorld: Fate of the Galapagos Penguin Online Beta
Rationale:
Forcing my audience to download a zip file, get the .zip program, extract the files, mount an expedition to locate the directory on the desktop, guess the bloody name of which file to open, guess which browser to open it with, hell even guess how or what application to open them, seemed very.. "inhuman". Furthermore the ONE I.T department staff's handling with my formats during the Multimedia Starlite presentation was abysmally disappointing. In an effort to embrace a more user-centric attitude towards sharing my work, I've personally tackled the files in such as way that you can now view SilentWorld with a click of a button. I therefore invite you to to test it and provide constructive feedback.

Glory be to ARIA fans of the world.
Sir I just wanted to say, you've truly made my night. Thank you for making read that post.
For those of you who feel skeptical of watching ARIA, go ahead and visit Hazmer's wonderful post. If you're really into Kozue Amano's art, Kinokunia is selling AQUA #1,2 and ARIA 1,2 in English, You can purchase the whole of the ARIA manga from Amazon.jp The OST are sung by two artists, Yui Makino and Feat Round Table who also collaborated on Welcoome to the NHK! whereas Yui is famous for her tracks in Tsubasa Chronicles.
My silent quest to get people to watch ARIA continues

My current character line up. Oh look, Toon Link. I am so proud.
What a lovely evening. I've managed to get another four characters from all thatprofessional button mashing madness. I think Jigglypuff is such a cheap ass. She's not to be taken lightly, I mean I was cussing at a pink cotton ball of candy. I made me want to gnash my teeth. With a sixteen wheeler. But she's unlocked. It is something the Vietnamese would probably choose if they fought the war against the Americans on a videogame.
Sonic's attack is so fudging awesome, he homes into the target automatically. How cool is that?
This stage was ***. And I am still a noob. Perhaps unlocking SD Link would be a good objective.

The Wrath of the Lich King opening cinematic
I have not been able to enjoy WoW for the time-being (my macbook is still being serviced rather badly) but can't help myself quenching my thirsty curiosity, Blizzard unveiled the opening clip for the up-coming expansion so I decided to check it out for myself.
This cinematic is spot on, compared to the original and Burning Crusade. It's safe to say this is by far, the best opening. Even the verses of Arthas's father ain't cheesy as Illidan's. So excellence excellently executed, love the frost wyrm especially, it's just so nice to see living proof that blue is the best color in the universe and it is. In your face purple.
Update: I took Hazmer's comments into consideration and downloaded the cinematic for Warhammer Online. But no, I just think this kind of production appeals to a niche group rather than the overall casual audience the WoW predominatenly has a titan's grip over.
